Outstanding In It's Field

. . . and another one just for fun.

A Step Back In Time (without the hard physical labor)

The Amana Colonies is a collection of seven towns in east-central Iowa.   Settled by Germans who first came to upstate New York, then Iowa, they were almost completely self-sufficient for 80 years.  They kept their lifestyle by pursuing the handcrafts and farming they brought with them from Germany.  Now the towns are a popular tourist destination, with amazing food, shops, and wineries.

Stopped In To A Church

"Stopped in to a church I passed along the way
Well I got down on my knees and I pretend to pray
You know the preacher liked the cold
He knows I'm gonna stay
California dreamin' on such a winter's day."
- The Mamas and The Papas

Classic!  : )

But . . . but . . . my car was here a minute ago when I stepped out to take a picture!
