Falling Down On The Job

Did the house start falling apart or did the homeowner stop maintaining it?  A chicken-and-egg question.  While I was happily cavorting through the Badlands thunderstorms ripped across the Midwest, and I returned home to find bricks from my chimney littering the yard.  I picked up bricks and chunks of mortar, but have yet to get to the random sticks and branches.  It seems too big a job.  It's scary easy to say "I'll do it later."  That's the beginning of a long slope with no good outcome.

Darkly Beautiful

Woohoo, I've been hanging out in the Badlands of South Dakota for the past week!  Eerily gorgeous, and so very different from the aggressive greenery of the fertile Midwest.  As they say:  change is good!  :)

Another Day, Another Storm

Western Wind
Westron wind, when will thou blow?
The small rain down can rain.
Oh, if my love were in my arms,
And I in my bed again.

Middle English song lyrics.
