LOL! While my sense of humor may be corny, I was born and raised in the USA! My papers (not the ones on the floor) call me an Australian Shepherd, which, despite the name, is one of the only recognized breeds to be developed exclusively in America. Go Red, White and Blue! :D
Great-great-great-Grandma and Grandpa came from the mountainous Basque region on the border of France and Spain, where they herded sheep. With a brief stop in Australia (to pick up more sheep) they emigrated to California and became high-drive herders with energy to run all day. One of the coolest things about us is that we're born without tails, or with a short stub, because tails pick up burrs and get caught in gates when we're moving stock from one field to another. Personally I think it gives us an air of distinction!
Now there are Aussies on ranches all over the west. When it absolutely, positively, has to be herded NOW - call an Aussie! :)
Oh, a frenetic, high-maintenance dog! I don't know which is worse; a high maintenance woman, or a high-maintenance dog! Dogs are probably cheaper......

Another lean year?
No cows, no chickens and no pigs, so where's the "farm" portion of farm subsidy?
In corn and soybeans, which feed your steaks and power your car! :)
So, are you a corndog, or are you a corn-bean combo mutt? You should probably have a green card.
